Click the above link to read about the portrait Susan Lenz did of me On Fighting Ovarian Cancer for her Portrait Series. I am honored to have been chosen.
I'm so glad you are part of the Decisions Portrait Series. I think it is so important and it's like shouting to the world without the noise. This series needs world-wide recognition. And I don't say that because Susan is my sister or because I was the first portrait. It's statement is so .... REAL. Beautiful piece and wonderful tribute to a wonderful woman
What a lovely portrait and congratulations on being a true survivor. It's amazing what courage and determination can achieve. You're an inspiration to us all Linda.
I am so very touched by your winning fight, and your beautiful 4 charms and "ties" piece! Your art is indeed a gift. It is so easy to forget here in "blogland" that on the other end are real people fighting real lives and making a real difference with art. Thank you for your bravery and for reminding me that we are all sharing a crucial journey of connection and meaning in our work. (and happy birthday to your Mom!! I lost my mom to cancer when she was just 48, so I thrill for your milestones!) victoria
This is from Nancilyn:Oh Lynda, thank you for sharing. You are amazing and so is Susan's projection of your portrait. That picture really captured the range of emotions you must have felt when you received the good news. It is an amazing tribute to ovarian cancer awareness. I was truly moved by each of Susan's portraits so far. What an awesome project! I begin Ratty Tatty Papers next week and am very excited about it. Hugs, Nanci

Your story touched my heart and I do hope that it brings awareness to more of us. You fought hard and won the battle. The tribute is so beautiful.
How wonderful! I have several friends who are fighting cancer and my grandmother died of it at the young age of 31 yrs. Love the piece, too!
